Several new record high temperatures were set across Alabama today. The list looks like this:
Birmingham 87 breaks old record of 86 set in 1961 Tuscaloosa 88 breaks old record of 87 set in 1961 Anniston 87 breaks old record of 86 set in 1961 Calera 88 no old record to break Montgomery 89 breaks old record of 88 set in 1984 Muscle Shoals 86 ties the old record of 86 set in 1961 Huntsville 87 breaks old record of 86 set in 1927 Troy 88 no old record to break Mobile 86 one degree shy of record 87 set in 2000
It still looks promising for a significant pattern change for the eastern US late this week and into next weekend which will result in highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s. These value will be much, much closer to the 30-year averages for early November and get us out of the heat for several days.
