Dr. Tim posted the video, so not to be out done completely, here are a few images I took of the storm chase yesterday. It was not a hectic storm chase like some can be since it was a pretty well behaved event. I don’t really like squall lines because they can be tremendously tough to forecast and warn for with the potential for very subtle features like bow echoes.
The pictures below show the wind with the white caps on Smith Lake in Cullman County. And they show Dr. Tim doing his video and measuring thing!! The last photo was taken as the storms had moved well east of us and we’d had a nice lunch at Dodge City just off I-65.
