The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flood Advisory for Marion & Lamar Counties until 245 PM CDT.
At 1147 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. One to two inches of rain have already fallen. An additional inch of rainfall is possible over the area. This additional rain may result in minor flooding.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
