Storms have become numerous today to the west of the Birmingham Metro area.
They cover parts of Tuscaloosa and western Jefferson Counties.
Expect frequent lightning, heavy rain, gusty winds and small hail.
Others are near Anniston and in western Coosa County, west of Rockford.
Everything is barely moving to the southwest.
Earlier, a strong storm in DeKalb County produced damage. It is now pushing into Marshall and Etowah Counties and appears to be intensifying after weakening. Two large trees were downed along with power lines near Dawson AL earlier.
