…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR CENTRAL SHELBY AND SOUTHEASTERN
JEFFERSON COUNTIES UNTIL 415 PM CDT…
At 310 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Mountain Brook, moving southwest at 10 mph.
Additional strong thunderstorms over north-central Shelby County are
expected to interact and merge with this storm and may result in
further intensification.
Pea size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this
storm.

Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Homewood, Pelham,
Mountain Brook, Helena, Irondale, Leeds, Fairfield, Fultondale,
Tarrant, Midfield, Brighton, Indian Springs Village, Lipscomb,
Birmingham Fairgounds, Shops of Grand River and Five Points South.
