NWS Birmingham extends the current Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 6:00 pm this evening to now include Barbour, Bullock, Chambers, Elmore, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Pike, Russell, and Tallapoosa counties.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues until 6:00 pm for Autauga, Dallas, and Lowndes counties.
NWS Birmingham has removed Marengo County from the Severe Thunderstorm Watch as the threat of severe storms has ended for the evening.
Threats continue to be damaging winds up to 60-70 MPH, quarter size hail, and a non-zero threat of an isolated tornado. The threat should be over by 9:00 pm tonight.
