…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR CENTRAL TALLADEGA COUNTY UNTIL
315 PM CDT…
At 239 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Alpine, or 7 miles northeast of Childersburg, moving southeast at 15
mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include…
Talladega, Sylacauga, Childersburg, Waldo, Alpine Bay Resort,
Sycamore, Winterboro, Alpine, Logan Martin Dam, Logan Martin Lake and
Country Club Estates.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
