All indications from the computer models are that heavy rain will develop over South Central and East Central Alabama this afternoon and continue through the evening hours.

This could mean a very wet forecast for the Auburn game.

Right now…radars are mainly clear and skies are partly cloudy in these areas, with the exception of a few light showers over Coosa and Elmore Counties.

It is 86F at Auburn and 82F at Montgomery right now with dewpoints in the lower 70s.

Instability values are rising rapidly over Southeast Alabama, with an axis of 2500 j/kg CAPEs from Alex City to Dothan.

This area will likely eventually see rapid thunderstorm development this afternoon with heavy rain and storms likely in the hours before kickoff.

Rain chances look like they will be good in the couple of hours before the game, then taper off during the game itself. There is a chance that heavy rain and storms could last into the game, however.

So take the rain gear and be prepared for another round of heavy rain and storms like last week. Check the latest radar looks and forecasts throughout the day. And War Eagle!
