WEATHER CHECK AT 12 PM: Skies are absolutely beautiful as there is not a cloud in the sky across Central Alabama. While we do get a few wind gusts out there, the good news is that it doesn’t seem to be a breezy as it was earlier this morning. However, those wind chills continue to be running up to 8 degrees lower than the actual temperatures. Temperatures were in the lower 30s to the lower 40s. Afternoon highs will get up into the upper 30s to the lower 40s across the area underneath sunny skies. For tonight, the winds will die down, so the wind chills will not be a big factor, but it will still be rather chilly with lows in the lower to mid 20s for much of the area, and closer to the upper 20s in the suburban heat islands (larger cities).
A BIG DIFFERENCE IN TEMPERATURES ON SUNDAY: After a chilly start, you will almost think you have transported into the early spring as afternoon highs will be up in the mid 50s to the lower 60s across the area from northeast to southwest. There may be a little breeze out there, but it will not be out of the north, so it won’t feel all that bad at all.
