NWS Birmingham extends the Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Clay, Randolph, Shelby, and Talladega counties in Central Alabama until midnight. Those are added to Bullock, Chambers, Coosa, Elmore, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Russell, and Tallapoosa counties set to expire at midnight.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been cancelled for Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Etowah, Jefferson, St. Clair, Walker, and Winston counties in Central Alabama as the threat of severe storms have ended for now. More storms will move in later tonight.
