The line of showers and thunderstorms moved down into East and South Alabama and spread out into a fairly broad rain area.
Ay 8:20, the heaviest rain (moderate in intensity) was over the Lake Martin area.
Other scattered showers were over North Alabama near where a cold front was located. The southward moving front has dropped the temperature to a chilly 48 in Huntsville and Decatur at 8 pm compared to the mid 60s in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.
