The afternoon Weather Xtreme video is available on the player above, and also on iTunes. The morning video is available by 7:00 a.m., and the afternoon video is loaded by 3:30 p.m.

COLD NIGHTS: Looks like we are headed for a light freeze both tomorrow morning, and early Saturday morning. Most places will see a low somewhere in the low 30s, but the colder valleys will wind up in the mid to upper 20s. Tonight will be our coldest night since March 26 when the low in Birmingham was 29.

SUNNY DAYS: Very dry air means lots of sunshine on a daily basis through Sunday with just a few cirrus clouds from time to time. Daytime highs will be near 60 tomorrow, in the low 60s on Saturday, and mid 60s by Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: Still a rather puzzling forecast for next week. The latest (12Z) run of the GFS now keeps Alabama mostly dry through the first half of the week, so we can scale down any chance of rain on Wednesday. This run brings a very strong, negative tilt upper trough in here at the end of the week (Friday November 10), which looks like a significant severe weather setup. But, no need to get too excited since the model is doing the flip-flop on just about every run. Like I have been writing here all week, I do expect one or two major storm systems in the November 7-17 time frame; we just can’t nail down the details right now.

REMINDER: We have links to all of our sister sites over on the left sidebar, including WeatherParty.com, WeatherBrains.com, and much more. You can also learn more about the ABC 33/40 Skywatcher program, and the upcoming Storm Alert XTREME at the BJCC on November 11.

I will have the next Weather XTREME video posted by 7:00 a.m. tomorrow!
