Rain, that is.
At 4 pm, rain was extensive across Mississippi. The heaviest rain was over East-Central and South Mississippi down into SE Louisiana. Thunderstorms with that heaviest rain area also.
The rain has edged into West Alabama with moderate showers over the extreme NW counties and lighter showers down the western border of the state.
The rain will gradually get heavier as the night goes on. In the next 24 hours, amounts of 1 to 2 inches will not be that uncommon, with some heavier amounts.
