Since everyone is willing to pay big bucks for rain, we celebrate these amounts. Even 1/4 inch is reason enough to cheer or throw a poptart party. I have done so many rain dances in my back yard that all of the dandelions and part of the grass gone. My neighbor, up the street, also dancing and she is excellent at it.

4:48 p.m., Log Cabin, La. (4 miles north of Bastrop) Wind gust estimated 80 mph, numerous trees down and homes damaged. Possible tornado.
5:15 p.m. Numerous trees down across Ashley County, Arkansas. This includes the town of Hamburg.
NOTE: That is only a small sampling. There were a number of reports out of Louisiana, Arkansas and West Mississippi.
SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOKS
Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has a slight risk for today for Extreme South Mississippi and the east half of Louisiana. A slight risk also for parts of west and north Texas northward to SE South Dakota. Within that area is a moderate risk for:

West half of Kansas
