Alabama’s weather will stay rain-free through the weekend and next week as the calm pattern continues. The high today will be in the 76-82 degree range, followed by low to mid 70s over the weekend. Morning lows will be in the 40s and 50s.

Same thing next week; highs mostly in the 70s, lows in the 40s and 50s. Global models continue to suggest our next rain event is 10-15 days away, in early November. See the video briefing for maps, graphics, and more details.

TROPICS: Tropical storm formation is not expected across the Atlantic basin for at least the next seven days.

RACE WEEKEND: The weather could not be better for race weekend at Talladega. Sunny, comfortable afternoons, clear, cool nights. Afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s, morning lows in the upper 40s and low 50s.

FOOTBALL WEATHER: Auburn hosts LSU tomorrow at Jordan-Hare Stadium (11:00a CT kickoff)… the sky will be sunny with temperatures rising from near 70 at kickoff to around 75 degrees by the final whistle.

The weather looks great for all the other home game in Alabama Saturday/Saturday night. Afternoon highs in the 70s, temperatures falling into the 60s and 50s after sunset.

ON THIS DATE IN 1947: Fish fell from the sky in Marksville, LA. Thousands of fish fell from the sky in an area 1,000 feet long by 80 feet wide most likely due to a waterspout.

Look for my next video briefing here by 6:00 a.m. Monday… enjoy the weekend!
