STILL DRY: Dry weather continues across Alabama today and tomorrow… with a partly to mostly sunny sky afternoon temperatures will top out around 80 degrees, about ten degrees above average for late October.
THE WEEKEND: Moisture levels begin to rise, and we will mention the chance of a few scattered showers Saturday. Rain won’t be widespread or heavy, and many places won’t see a drop. Then, rain will be more likely across Alabama Saturday night into Sunday. Some thunder is possible, but we don’t expect any risk of severe storms. Rain amounts will be generally one inch or less. The high Saturday will be in the mid to upper 70s, followed by upper 60s and low 70s Sunday with clouds and periods of rain.
NEXT WEEK: The weather will be generally dry Monday and Tuesday with only isolated showers. Then, a dynamic system will bring rain and thunderstorms late Wednesday, Wednesday night, into Thursday morning. Model consistency is not good with the depth and placement of the upper trough, it is still too early to know if we will have a threat of severe thunderstorms. Rain amounts of 1-2 inches are likely with this system.
