RADAR CHECK: Showers continue this morning across parts of Southeast Alabama ahead of a surface front; to north there is a dense fog advisory for much of North, West, and Southwest Alabama where visibilities are very limited. Showers and fog will go away later this morning; we expect a partly sunny sky this afternoon with a high in the 70s.
DRY DAYS AHEAD: The weather will be rain-free through the weekend. Afternoon temperatures will reach the 70s again tomorrow, but cooler air invades the Deep South tomorrow night. For the weekend expect sunny days with highs in the 60s. A number of North Alabama communities will dip into the 30s early Sunday morning with some frost.
The weather remains generally dry next week. A few isolated showers are possible near the coast Wednesday, otherwise expect mostly sunny pleasant days and clear cool nights. No sign of any major rain event for Alabama for at least the next ten days… See the video briefing for maps, graphics, and more details.

TROPICS: A non-tropical low pressure area is located a few hundred miles south of Bermuda. Environmental conditions could support this system gradually acquiring subtropical characteristics through this weekend while it moves slowly eastward over the western and central subtropical Atlantic. By early next week, environmental conditions are forecast to become unfavorable for further development. The chance of development is 50 percent.

No tropical storms are expected near the Gulf or the U.S. for at least the next 7-10 days.
FOOTBALL WEATHER: Auburn hosts Arkansas Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium (11:45a CT kickoff)… the sky will be sunny with temperatures in the 60s.
Alabama will be in Baton Rouge to play LSU (2:30p CT kickoff)… it will be a sunny day there with temperatures in the mid 70s during the first half, falling into the upper 60s by the final whistle.
The weather looks excellent for all of the games across Alabama and the Deep South Saturday/Saturday night.
