I am a little concerned about the storms that are approaching Tuscaloosa. Quite a bit of spin in what looks like a little meso low in the middle of that line of storms. I would think this could enhance the threat of damaging winds or a small spin up tornado as it moves east northeast.
A severe thunderstorm warning continues for Fayette, Greene, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa Counties until 5 am. A tornado watch is in effect for much of the northwestern half of Alabama until 10 a.m. this morning.
