How is this for variety? Posting this under both drought and flood category! I have searched and looked at so many rain reports this morning that my eyeballs no longer look like eyeballs. Because of that and a D-4 sleep drought, I look like i was caught outdoors in a blinding dust storm at Clines Corners, New Mexico.

Enough of that. Please note that these amounts may be 24 hour amounts or storm totals. As much as possible, I tried to compile the storm total which was 48 hours or less. Note some 12 to 15 inch totals in NW Florida. In some cases there are duplicate amounts from the same location. That is because we get two reports from some places. Here we go:

FINAL THOUGHTS
Can you imagine if that 15 inches of rain at Pensacola Naval Air Station would have fallen in the upper watershed of the Little Cahaba River? That drains into Lake Purdy one of Birmingham’s main sources of water.

I know this is overkill on rain amounts but because of the enhanced interest because of the drought, I overdid it.
