Dappled sunshine. That’s what I would call the weather across Central Alabama on this Sunday afternoon as clouds continue to thicken. Rain is not very far west of the state and will begin to affect the area overnight with a few showers, that will continue into the holiday on Monday.
Temperatures had made the promised 50s. They will slowly recede through the evening hours, bottoming out around 40F, perhaps into the upper 30s in most locations.
We are heading into a cold and unsettled period across Central Alabama. Expect showers Monday and Tuesday. Dry and cooler weather for Wednesday. Showers again Thursday night, perhaps changing to snow flurries or a little light snow Friday morning, with steady or falling temperatures Friday and a blustery northwest wind before heading into a dry and cold weekend. Saturday morning lows may be in the teens and highs will only be in the 30s.
We then stay cold through that next 7 days as well.
