WORKING FOR THE WEEKEND…
“Everybody’s workin’ for the weekend
Everybody wants a new romance
Everybody’s goin’ off the deep end
Everybody needs a second chance…”
After a long cold week… the good news is that the weather will indeed be warmer over the weekend. While we will start the day tomorrow down in the 20-25 degree range (with teens for the colder spots), look for a high in the low 50s tomorrow, and low 60s Sunday with a bright sunny sky both days. Those patches of snow still hanging around in the shade will be long gone by tomorrow afternoon.
NEXT WEEK: It will be the warmest weekend so far in 2011, with highs well into the 60s. In fact, with a warm ridge nosing in from the south, don’t be shocked if we wind up in the low 70s toward the end of the week. the week will be mostly dry, with only a small risk of a shower on Friday (Feb 18). The upper air pattern next week will funnel the coldest air into the northwest part of the nation.
LONG RANGE: Still no sign of any major cold air shot through the end of February… see the Weather Xtreme video for the long range ideas.
WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40.

Headed out to the BJCC in downtown Birmingham for live weather at 5:00 and 6:00 from the World of Wheels… also a special thanks to the kids at Garden City School in Cullman County; they were a great audience this morning. Be looking for them on the Pepsi KIDCAM today at 5:00 on ABC 33/40 News.
Look for my next Weather Xtreme video here early Monday morning… I believe Tim Coleman will be filling in for Brian tomorrow and Sunday. Have a great weekend!
