Showers already into West Alabama but we think our main rain event will be Saturday and Saturday night.

At 6 pm, a band of showers extended up and down the west side of Alabama. The were moving ENE…actually moving almost due east.

The best rain was over Lamar, Fayette and Winston County. Some of that now spreading into Walker and Tuscaloosa County.

So far, no indication of lightning in Alabama.

Between now and Saturday night, there is a good chance that many Alabama communities weill receive around three inches of rain.

The wedge is still with us. As night arrives, it was a cool 50s over much of East Alabama contrasting to 60s over on the west side. It was a chilly 45 in Atlanta. They have experienced a very chilly Friday.
