Big thunderstorms continue over western Jefferson County at this time.
They cover much of the county west of a line from Hueytown to Adamsville.
Would not be surprised to see severe thunderstorm warning extended for Jefferson into Shelby Counties.
They are pushing southeasrd and will affect areas from McCalla and North Johns to Bessemer and Hoover and to downtown Birmingham, then Homewood, Vestavia and Mountain Brook. Eventually they will push into northern Shelby County and then into Talladega County within the hour.
It will be a frustrating commute this morning on area highways. Leave a little extra time, a little extra room for the other fellow and pack some extra patience before you depart this morning.
