Strong storms will reach Lamar County within the next hour.

They will affect nearly the entire length and breadth of the County from north to south and west to east.

They have lots of lightning, very heavy rain, some hail and the potential for damaging winds.

The good news is that the radar shows a long gust front coming out of the storms over eastern Mississippi. This could signal a weakening trend. But we can’t count on that, so please be in a safe place as the strong storms approach.

Additional intense storms over Choctaw and Webster Counties will affect Lamar and Pickens Counties after 1 a.m.
