The National Weather Service has extended the severe thunderstorm watch to include parts of South Central Alabama. The new counties include: Autauga, Chambers, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Sumter and Tallapoosa. The watch goes until till 5:00 PM CDT.
The watch continues for the following Central Alabama counties: Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Jefferson, Pickens, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, Walker [AL] and the following North Alabama Counties: Morgan, Madison, Cullman, Marshall, Jackson and DeKalb.
