* Tuscaloosa-Birmingham-Anniston (I-20 Corridor) Nothing going on. Almost all of the action now south of those areas. Also little or no activity from there northward to the Tennessee border.

* West edge Bibb County just west of Centreville and Brent: A fairly small storm but dumping heavy rain

* Southwest corner of Clay County in East Central Alabama a thunderstorm dumping very heavy rain. Considerable lightning in that area also.

* Along the Hale-Greene County line between Akron and Eutaw, moderate to heavy storm

* Autauga/Elmore County line north and NW of Montgomery, very heavy downpours

* No formal warnings in effect at this hour. Last warning (Severe Thunderstorm) was issued at 2:17 pm for parts of Clay and Tallapoosa

Still not too late for another warning, however.

A number of communities have received very beneficial rain this afternoon but it has been spotty. Maybe we can post some rain amounts from today at some point after 7pm
