The storms over the Tennessee Valley have weakened just a tad and are below severe limits right now. But they are still packing a punch.

They extend from near Ider to Section to Union Grove to Eva. They are beginning to build southwestward into Winston County.

It remains to be seen if they will continue growing to the southwest.

Additional storms are over Northwest Alabama, over Franklin and Lauderdale Counties. These will affect Marion and Winston Counties later. They are no longer severe but also still pack a punch.

A flash flood warning is in effect for northweastern Marshall, DeKalb and Jackson Counties.

Further south, the storm over East Alabama is severe….with a warning for southern Cherokee, northeastern Calhoun and Cleburne Counties.
