Intense thunderstorms now across much of Lamar and moving into southeastern Marion County.
They will bring intense lightning, torrential rains, maybe some small hail and strong gusty winds to Marion, Lamar and Fayette Counties.
Melissa in Hamilton reports that the bottom has fallen out but not much wind.
These storms could become severe, with damaging winds still… so pay them some healthy respect if you are in their path.

Justin Gentry reports 1.38 inches of rain in Jemison from today’s storms with a peak wind gust of 31 mph.
