Some strong thunderstorms persisted for hours this evening across Central Alabama, The storms produced lots of lightning and locally heavy rain. Fortunately, we escaped without formal severe thunderstorm warnings.
At 11:15 pm, there was still a strong storm moving east or ESE along the south edge of Shelby County. The outflow was causing another one to form near the Bibb-Perry County line.
Overall, the storms are diminishing
