A nice Saturday is in progress across Alabama.
High clouds continue to stream across the northern third of Alabamay, but sunshine is still plentiful in most areas. Temperatures were climbing into the lower 80s in the I-20 corridor.
The nearest rainfall to Alabama is showers and storms over southern Missouri and northwestern Arkansas, but they are moving northeast away from us.
The wedge is losing its effect on Alabama right now as high pressure over New England retreats into southern Canada. You can see the influence of southeasterly winds out of the Gulf of Mexico as a nice field of cumulus spreads northwestward into Northwest Florida, southern Alabama, Mississippi and Southeast Louisiana.
