At 8 o’clock on this cool Friday morning, we find that our latest cold front has pushed deep into Alabama. Temperatures were in the 40s over the north third and 50s downstate.

A band of light to moderate rain is spreading east and southeast. The leading eastern edge was from Fort Payne to Oneonta, to just west of Birmingham and then to Tuscaloosa, Moundville, Greensboro and Livingston. Heaviest rain was southeast of Huntsville. Muscle Shoals has already received over one half inch. (0.62)

Based on lightning detection equipment, we can find zero lightning and that is a good thing.
