Heavy thunderstorms are getting ready to cross much of the Birmingham Metro during rush hour this morning.
The heaviest rain is entering northern and northwestern Jefferson County at this time. Lot of lightning and even some small hail and gusty winds will accompany the storms.
Another concentration of heavy storms is over western Blount County and will affect Oneonta as well as most of the rest of that county over the next 45 minutes.
We won’t complain about the rain and are thankful is is coming with no severe weather, but be careful out there if you have to commute over the next 90 minutes.
