The strongest storms are over Blount and St. Clair Counties and over Lee County at this hour. Those storms are severe and have warnings on them. The strongest part of the Blount/St. Clair storms is along US-11 between Springville and Ashville.

Lots of trees are reported down in Blount County according to John Talbot.

In Lee County, an areal flood warning has been added to the severe thunderstorm warning that is still in effect. The storm has moved only slightly southwest and is still pounding Auburn. Over two inches of rainfall according to Doppler radar estimates. This will cause flooding.

Strong storms are over southeastern Shelby and northern Chilton as well. They have peaked though and will be weakening. Still getting heavy rain, powerful lightning, strong gusty winds and some small hail especially between Columbiana and Calera and Jemison .
