Much calmer weather this afternoon compared to yesterday. As we look as the satellite, clouds are hanging on around much of North Central Alabama. We have seen a few peeks of sunshine today, and we are beginning to see more clearing back to our west in Mississippi. A cold front is currently crossing the state and along and behind it, the winds are becoming very breezy. That wind is bringing much colder air into the Southeast and it is going to feel like winter for the next few days. Winds could be gusting 25-35 mph this afternoon. Thickest clouds are along the front from West Alabama down to South Central Mississippi. There are a few light showers along the front as well, as it is providing some uplift to allow these showers to develop. Nothing to heavy, just more of an inconvenience. Could see sunshine across areas of West Alabama later this afternoon.
Showers are lined up roughly along the Interstate 65 corridor, once again they are very light. Will continue to move east with the front. We will see some light rain from Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Cullman and east to Gadsden and Anniston a little later this afternoon
