Showers and storms continue to move east across the state this evening. All storms remain below severe limits, but they are producing some hail, gusty winds, torrential rain and frequent lightning. Storms could become severe briefly, but no widespread severe weather is expected.
Some of the more intense storms are currently over Pickens, Marengo and Bibb Counties. Heavy is falling over Walker, Tuscaloosa, Fayette, Cullman and not making its way into Jefferson County. The storms will persist for the next few hours and should begin to wind down later this evening.
