It has been a fairly calm day across Central Alabama. Very few showers or thunderstorms developed. There were a couple of exceptions as some of our southeastern counties had some strong storms earlier in the afternoon. For areas in West Alabama, a few isolated thunderstorms occurred in Pickens, Sumter, Greene and Marengo Counties.

Currently, a  couple of shower continued across portions of Greene and Pickens Counties. The last few radar scans have a few showers developing in Northwest Alabama along the state line with Mississippi. Marion and Lamar Counties are being impacted by these showers. These showers will continue to drift southeast over the next few hours. We may even see some additional showers or thunderstorms develop. Not expecting any severe weather, but as a front drops south through the state, there is enough instability with this lift for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms to occur.
