Caitlin Mathey (@cmathey_) Tweeted this picture which I have inset on the radar from about the same time. She took the picture at The Summit looking southeast.
You can see the heavy rain shaft.
Brian Hennigan reported blueberry sized hail with around 50 mph gusts at Forest Lakes in Chelsea. Power out. Our skywatcher Grady reported power out there as well.
Rich Bares reported loud thunder in Greystone.
Be alert for the heavy rain if you’re driving on 280 between Meadowbrook and Westover, especially between Chelsea and Westover. Watch out for the lightning and gusty winds as well. Try to stay inside until the storm passes.
