A few showers and storms are starting to bubble up across Central Alabama this afternoon.
They are in about a 50 mile wide band from Carrollton to Calera to Wedowee.
One developing storm was over eastern Birmingham near Woodlawn and East Lake. It will move east northeast in the direction of Alton and Trussville.
Will probably see lightning soon in southern Clay County southwest of Ashland.
Be alert for heavy rain and frequent lightning as the storms mature.
