Just a quick note on the fine weather occurring in Central Alabama. The sky was completely clear across the northern two-thirds of the state while some high cirrus clouds streamed across the sky from about Prattville southward. Radars were echo free, too, as you would expect. A surface high pressure center was situated over about Knoxville at mid-afternoon. High pressure will remain with us until late Tuesday and Wednesday with the approach and passage of another cold front, a front that will likely come through dry but chilly. Still looks like 30-degree lows for North and Central Alabama on Thursday morning, and Wednesday could see highs struggle to reach the 60-degree mark. That depends in part on the timing of the front, but it will be a chilly day for most of the northern half of the state.
Around 3 pm, temperatures were mainly in the upper 60s across Central Alabama, but ranged from 71 at Alexander City to 63 at Haleyville.
It just doesn’t get much better than this, one of the reasons Fall is such a great season.
