High pressure shifted southeast into the Gulf of Mexico last night, and the flow around the high allowed for southwesterly return flow. This pushed a warm front northeastward.

A few showers had already developed this morning along that front over Northwest Alabama. Those showers were pushing southeast in the northwesterly flow aloft.  We will see a few showers and maybe a thunderstorm this morning as the front pushes northeast and the showers push southeast.  The best chance will be north of US-78and I-20.
