Showers continue across Alabama early tonight. Most of them are light. We have rainfall measurements of around 1/10th of an inch at Haleyville, Carbon Hill and Jasper.

However, at 7:15, moderate showers (even a few heavy) were occurring in some areas. Two examples:

* Near and west of Decatur near the Tennessee River
* South and SW of Montgomery

These showers will decrease and move on to the east later this eveing. They are not a part of the main event which will be Wednesday. All of Alabama is outlooked for a chance of severe weather Wednesday. This includes a moderate risk from Tuscaloosa-Birmingham-Anniston southward to the the coast.

Keep in close touch tomorrow. Look for frequent updates here.
