A beautiful Saturday is in progress across Alabama on this early June afternoon. Just a few mid and high level clouds are drifting past in the northwesterly flow.
That northwesterly flow is delivering slightly cooler and drier air into the state as well. Temperatures are topping out right at or below 80F across the area. Dewpoints are in the lower 50s, which is quite nice, given that our average June dewpoint is 65F.
Those showers that were approaching the Mississippi River at lunch time petered out as they passed Vicksburg.
The remainder of the afternoon, overnight and most of tomorrow should be dry. Could see a shower or storm tomorrow night, a better chance of one on Monday and an even better chance on Tuesday. Lows tonight will drop into the upper 50s. Highs tomorrow will push 90F.
