Severe thunderstorm warning for Marshall and DeKalb Counties until 4 p.m.
The strong storms will affect Albertville, Geraldine, and Collinsville.
There have been reports of large trees broken near Trinity.
Elsewhere, a large band of showers and storms continues at this hour from Hamilton in Marion County to Double Springs in Winston County, to Cullman to Albertville.
The band is sinking south slowly while the storms are individually pushing east.
A severe storm is in Northeast Mississippi near Iuka. It is moving toward Franklin and Colbert Counties. A severe thunderstorm warning was just issued for Colbert and Franklin.
The instability over Central Alabama is very high, so the storms will have lots of energy to work with when they move into that part of the state later.
