* At 654 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated a large area of moderate to heavy rain continuing to spread across the area. Radar estimates indicate that one to locally 2 inches of rain have already fallen from Jasper to Birmingham to Tuscaloosa. These heavy rains will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are likely through this evening across the warned area.
