Rain, A Few Strong Storms For Alabama Tomorrow
RADAR CHECK: We have a few scattered showers across Alabama this afternoon, but the rain is not especially widespread, and the southern counties are seeing a decent amount of sun. Temperatures range from the 60s over North Alabama, to the low to mid 80s down south where the sun is out. We will maintain the chance of a few scattered showers and thunderstorms statewide tonight. RADAR CHECK: Showers are over the northern third of Alabama early this morning; those are moving eastward and will be in Georgia by mid-morning. Additional scattered showers and thunderstorms will form this afternoon and tonight, but it certainly won’t rain all day today and you might see a peek or two of sun this afternoon. CHILLY START: Colder spots have dipped into the mid to upper 30s across North Alabama early this morning. Colder temperatures at 5:00 a.m. include 36 at Cullman, 37 at Jasper and Haleyville, and 38 at Gadsden. CALM APRIL DAY: We have sunshine in full supply over the northern half of Alabama this afternoon with temperatures inn the 60s, about 10-15 degrees below average for late April. Some clouds linger over the southern counties of the state where a few sprinkles are still showing up on radar, but those will end this evening.
