At 800 PM EDT (0000 UTC), the disturbance was centered near latitude 16.1 North, longitude 82.7 West. The system is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue over the next 48 hours. On the forecast track, the center will pass north of Honduras tonight and early Monday, then approach the east coast of the Yucatan peninsula Monday afternoon. Emily is moving toward the east near 8 mph (13 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue today. A turn toward the northeast and an increase in forward speed are expected tonight or Tuesday. On the forecast track, the center of Emily is expected to move inland over the the west-central Florida peninsula later today and move across central Florida through tonight.
