Birmingham Area Storms Ramping...

Storms now entering Jefferson and about to enter Shelby county are growing in intensity.

The storm just northeast of Maplesville continues to prompt a severe thunderstorm warning for Chilton, Coosa and extreme southeastern Shelby Counties.

The severe storm could produce damaging winds of over 60 mph. It will move near or between Clanton and Jemison.

All of the storms will produce strong gusty winds, torrential rains and deadly lightning.
