Birmingham Area Update

The Birmingham storm is much weaker. Look for the severe thunderstorm warning for Central Jefferson County to be canceled early.

The storms over western Jefferson County are a different story. They remain quite intense and still have high potential to produce damaging winds of 60 mph or greater and large hail.

The high at Birmingham was 104F. That is a new record. So far Montgomery and Anniston have set records for the date also. Tuscaloosa tied theirs.
