Yes, that very strong gang of thunderstorms caused damage in West Central and Central Alabama late this afternoon and this evening. Some of the reports, and probably not all-inclusive:

* In Perry County, the EMA reported thunderstorm wind damage at 4:12 pm. Trees were downed in numerous locations. The main areas were NE of Marion in the Sprott Community along highway 14 and 183, Also Perry County roads 6, 10, 7, 23, 64

* Four miles southwest of Selma (Dallas County) the Call Center reported wind damage around 4:40 pm. Trees were uprooted on highway 219 and County Road 139.

* In Pickens County, trees were down practically all across the north part of the county.. Hard hit areas were near Carrollton along highway 17

It is interesting to note that the Alabama storms were the strongest ones in the nation during the times of of this damage.
