Early Afternoon in Alabama&#82...

Radar indicates scattered light rain over a good part of North and Central Alabama.

There is just one catch. Most of the rain is not touching the ground. It is still extremely dry up to about 18,000 feet and this evaporates light rain rather quickly.

However, off the the NW, heavier showers were in progress over Extreme NW Mississippi and even some thunder and lightning.

Everything moving generally eastward.
